Engaging learners in a 21st century environment

Session Five: February 15, 2018 - Engaging Learners with Digital Devices

1. Knovio Overview Recording
Yes, you are media but have stiff competition when compared to the other types referenced in Chapter One. Using Knovio as a video platform, you will create an instructional overview of your NearPod Lesson that is no more than 7 minutes in length. This task should focus on your use of academic language, pacing, tone, and presentation engagement. Give attention to how YOU sell your topic when maintaining the audiences attention.

2. Classroom Techology Inventory/Interview
You will complete a classroom technology inventory/interview for your assigned class (from EDCI 2200 - Field Study II). In addition to a classroom floor plan, you will need to document all hardware, software, and other media/instructional equipment that is available for your in-field practitioner to use. In addition, interview the teacher and identify his/her instructional styles (from the four presented in Chapter Two). Explain how this instructional style connects to the selection, integration, and application of technology in the classroom. *Make sure your floor plan is neat and in color (using crayons, colored pencils, etc.) to distinguish technology space from other resources, materials, and instructional furniture in the room.
